The easiest way to think about Adventure cards is by thinking of them as just a creature spell with an instant or sorcery stitched to it

It may be that they switched the quality of the materials used to manufacture the pins between the two years (though thats just speculation)

These box toppers are considered part of the Commander portion of the set, so they dont affect the legality of the connected cards in the Magic universe

If those corners dont match, congratulations, youre probably holding a card from Magics very first printing
